Warranty Policy

At D Norton & Son, we stand by the quality of every product we stock. This Warranty Policy sets out the terms under which customers may receive repairs, replacements, or refunds for defective products purchased from us. This policy is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. Warranty Coverage

  • This warranty applies to ironmongery, hardware, tools, and related products purchased from D Norton & Son.
  • Warranty coverage begins on the date of delivery.

2. Warranty Duration

  • Standard warranty period: 12 months from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
  • During the warranty period, eligible products will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at D Norton & Son’s discretion.

3. What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Faulty materials
  • Malfunctions caused by workmanship issues

4. What Is Not Covered

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper handling
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs
  • Damage caused by external factors (weather, power surges, chemicals, etc.)
  • Products purchased from unauthorised third-party sellers

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Please contact us with the following information:

  • Your order number and date of purchase
  • Photos or a description of the defect or issue
  • A brief description of the problem

Our team will review your claim and provide instructions for returning the product if required. A prepaid return label will be provided for valid warranty claims.

6. Warranty Resolution

Once the returned item has been inspected and the claim approved, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.

7. Your Statutory Rights

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund regardless of any warranty period.

8. Limitations

D Norton & Son’s liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
